SS-31 10mg

SS-31 (elamipretide) is a mitochondria-targeted tetrapeptide that selectively binds cardiolipin in the inner mitochondrial membrane, stabilising the electron transport chain and reducing oxidative stress while enhancing ATP production. It received FDA accelerated approval in 2025 for Barth syndrome, making it the first approved mitochondria-targeted therapeutic. Used in longevity and performance protocols for cellular energy, cardiovascular protection, muscle function, and neuroprotection.

Tips & Notes

Timing

No strict timing or fasting requirement. Longevity users typically dose consistently once daily; some protocols split higher doses across two injections. For volumes above 1ml subcutaneously, splitting between two injection sites is recommended

Cycling

Longevity protocols typically run 8–12 weeks on with 2–4 week breaks. Continuous dosing is used in clinical settings for Barth syndrome but off-cycle breaks are preferred for general longevity use.

Stacking

Pairs well with CoQ10 (200–400 mg/day oral) and NAD+ precursors like NMN or NR for comprehensive mitochondrial support. Also stacks with Epitalon — SS-31 targets mitochondria while Epitalon targets telomeres, addressing two major aging mechanisms simultaneously.

Storage

Lyophilized: fridge for regular use, freezer for long-term. Reconstituted: fridge only, use within 4 weeks, away from light. Do not freeze reconstituted peptide.
